It is a national holiday to honourthe sacrifices and demonstrations made to maintain Bangla as the national language during the Bengali Language Movement in 1952.21st February is also known as the ‘Amor Ekushey’, the root of the Bengali Nationalism and an independent country, Bangladesh.On February 21st, the International Mother Language Day is observed across the world to raise awareness of cultural diversity, linguistics, and multilingualism.Everyone recalls this event with respect. At ESS Junior Section, the language martyrs are remembered with pride and grief. To show respect to the martyrs all students and teachers wear black and white dresses and offer flowers at Shaheed Minar. .
